Working with Admission Simple will help take stress and confusion out of the college process.
I love to help families and their high school students find the right post-high school fit – whether that means a vocational training program, a private university, community college, or anything in-between.
HOW CAN I HELP?
I can help take stress and confusion out of the college process for students and their families, with step by step guidance. Let’s discuss your ideas and goals, college options, financial aid, and lots of other topics:
- NCAA eligibility
- High School course selection
- Reducing the costs of college
- AP, IB, and concurrent enrollment credits
- Exploring majors and careers
- Learning differences
- Current or future transfer students
- College tours
WHO AM I?
I believe that education after high school is so important, but doesn’t have to include a bachelor’s degree. There are so many options for students, and I love to help them find the right academic, financial, and social fit for their goals. I have over 10 years of college preparation and success experience, and I love working with students! I spent 5 years as a professional college preparation advisor for two non-profit organizations, working with middle school through high school students. I have spent the last 5 years advising current college students on retention and graduation issues at a large, public research university in Colorado.
I earned my BA from San Diego State University (ask me about surf class), and my Masters of Science in Youth Development at Clemson University in South Carolina. I’m continually debating with myself about pursuing a PhD…
When I’m not working with students, I’m volunteering with foster youth, homeless, and orphaned students in the Fort Collins community. I also LOVE to dance – salsa, ballet, hip hop – I’ll try just about any dance style!
WHAT DO I DO?
I meet one-on-one to discuss your goals, your concerns, and where you need support, and prioritize accordingly. Some students need more help in identifying colleges they should apply to, and others really just want to focus on financial aid and reducing college costs. Wherever you are in the process, I can help you make decisions and move forward in confidence!
